Layers of the Earth Project Rubric

Students copied the following model of the layers of the earth into their science notebooks today:

Students are learning about the different layers of the earth.

The past couple of days we have been learning about the different types of volcanoes and the magma they produce.

Today we are doing activity 36 found in the online book. Watch the video at the bottom of the blog first to see what we did in class.

Go to the online book and read the activity on page D-4 found in the Plate Tectonics unit,

Students set up their notebooks for our next unit today. We will begin discussing plate tectonics on Monday.

Today we took our test over the rock cycle. Yesterday, the students played a rock cycle game to review.
